What is company strike-off?

Strike-off is the process by which Companies House removes a company from the register for persistent non-compliance. Once struck off, the company ceases to exist legally and its assets pass to the Crown.

Can a struck-off company be restored?

Yes, within six years of strike-off through Administrative Restoration. Speed is critical — the longer you wait, the more complex and costly the process.

How far back can overdue filings be caught up?
