Saudi nationals with UK limited companies face the same filing obligations as any UK director — but navigating Companies House and HMRC processes from Riyadh or Jeddah brings its own complications. Language barriers, unfamiliar processes, and time zone differences mean compliance deadlines slip.
The most urgent issue is Director ID verification. The November 2026 deadline requires all UK company directors to verify their identity with Companies House. Saudi national ID (هوية وطنية) is fully accepted. Through Fileminder, an ACSP-authorised service provider, you can complete verification entirely online in under 15 minutes.
Saudi directors often hold UK companies as part of Vision 2030-aligned business structures, for consultancy income from UK or European clients, or as holding vehicles for UK property. In each case, the filing clock runs independently of what's happening in your Saudi operations.
Annual accounts must be filed within nine months of your financial year-end. A missed confirmation statement attracts a £500 penalty. If accounts are more than nine months late, penalties escalate to £1,500. Continued non-filing leads to strike-off.
Fileminder's Arabic-speaking team handles everything, communicates in Arabic, and operates on Sunday–Thursday Gulf hours. We are ACCA-qualified and regulated by AAT, with professional indemnity insurance covering all our filings.
